Martinez works at the Carnation Cafe on Main Street in Disneyland.
He started off as a busboy Dec. 29, 1956 and is now a chef. One day, according to a story he tells, he cooked breakfast potatoes in the kitchen. They were so good that they are still being served at Carnation Cafe. They are called Oscar’s Choice.
The chef now spends more time greeting guests than cooking for them and tells KABC-TV he has now plans to retire.
