See what’s new at the relaunched Her Universe website

Ashley Eckstein teases the upcoming “Self-Rescuing
Princess” t-shirt honoring Carrie Fisher.

Her Universe is back online with a raft of new products, an important new policy — and more good things to come.

Now under the umbrella of Hot Topic, Her Universe is still run by Star Wars celebrity and proud geek girl Ashley Eckstein, who founded the brand in 2010. Eckstein took to Facebook Live tonight to talk about the relaunch and answer questions.

Among the news she shared during the event:

  • The site now has a return policy. This is a big win for customers. Until now, all purchases have been final.
  • Gift cards are coming back. If you have one already or gave one as a gift, you should have received a new code to use in its place. Call customer service at 855-484-6853 for help.
  • Her Universe will have a place of honor at the store at April’s Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. A Hera t-shirt is in the works for the gathering and will ultimately make its way to the website as well.
  • For the moment when you sign up for an account and e-mail updates, you get 25% off your entire purchase.
  • A t-shirt honoring Carrie Fisher — our first “self-rescuing princess” — will be available soon, and proceeds from sales will go to a charity Eckstein didn’t specify.
  • A men’s collection called “Our Universe” is in the works, but won’t be available until November, in time for the holidays.
  • There’s a new Loki t-shirt available now, and the Her Universe team is working on a Loki collection for later this year. A Black Panther line is in the works too.

It also looks like Eckstein has been promoted — she no longer has to be her own model!

Here are a few of our favorite new things from the relaunched website:

(We love Sabine — more Sabine!)
(The front of the shirt says “LOKI”)
(Yes, the relaunch of the website took a little longer than expected.)
Geek blanket, $25
