New Year’s Eve plans at California Adventure are announced

Here are some of the events planned for Dec. 31, 2016, according to the Disney Parks Blog:

Cars Land: The Kelly Rae Band and DJ Trevor bring country music to the evening.

Hollywood Land:  A new stage at the end of Hollywood Blvd. will host DJ Roueche and special performances by Olivia Holt.  There will be a countdown and with rooftop fireworks and “Auld Lang Syne.”

Paradise Bay: The park will host the “Party of the Year!” There will be two scheduled performances of the “World of Color – Season of Light” at 8:30 and 9:45 p.m.  DJ Wendy will keep the music going throughout the night with a dance party at the lagoon. The New Year’s countdown culminates in a musical celebration punctuated by fountains, pyrotechnics, fireballs and lasers.
