Shanghai Disneyland is getting its own Toy Story Land.

Disney has broken ground for the resort’s seventh land where guests will enter the backyard of Andy and will feel as if they’ve been shrunk down to the size of their favorite Toy Story toys. The toys come to life and play in a fully immersive land with three new attractions.

the new Toy Story Land at Shanghai Disneyland.
“We’re demonstrating our confidence by breaking ground on a new Toy Story Land that will be both authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese, delighting our guests for years to come, ” Bob Chapek, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, said in a news release.
The new are of the park is scheduled to open in 2018.

“Since its opening in June this year, Shanghai Disneyland’s operation has run smoothly and our guests have been very enthusiastic. We have received positive feedback from the entire society – all of which makes us excited about the future,” Fan Xiping, chairman of Shanghai Shendi Group, which part owns the park, said in the release.

Currently, Disney is working on an 11-acre Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios.  The attractions being built is a new roller coaster and a flying saucer ride. The coaster is themed as Slinky Dog. The second ride includes our favorite little green aliens (“The Claw”). Guests will be able to spin on flying saucers.
