Disneyland security screening area to include Downtown Disney, report says
Disneyland is planning to expand its security area to include Downtown Disney, the Orange County Register reports.
Now, guests go through security near the entryways to Disneyland and California Adventure, after getting off the tram and adjacent to the Downtown Disney.
In the future, the bag-check and metal detectors will be performed after leaving the Mickey & Friends parking structure before boarding the tram toward Downtown Disney.
Two additional other checkpoints will be set up between the ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe, and between ESPN Zone and Earl of Sandwich restaurant for hotel guests.
According to the the register, the idea is to allow people to head to the parks and shop without having to go through a another checkpoint.
