Disney’s California Adventure letters being installed at California State Fair

Construction began this week to install the C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A letters that once were in front of the California Adventure in Disneyland to its new home at the California State Fair.

The 11-foot-tall letters which each weigh between 5,000 and 13,000 pounds are being placed outside the Main Gate at the Cal Expo in Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Bee.

In 2012, when Disneyland started its renovation of the California Adventure, Disney donated the letters to the Friends of the California State Fair, but installation couldn’t begin right away.
