Disney almost turned Myst computer game into an attraction
One of the Disney projects which never came to light involved bringing a computer game to life.

Remember the 1993 game Myst, the interactive adventure game where you need to go through an interactive world and solve problems to get to end of the game? Well, Disney had plans to transform the game into a real-world version, according avclub.com.
AV Club interviewed game creator Rand Miller, who said Disney had almost hired him to transform an island area Disney owned in Florida. Presumably this is within the confines of Disney World, but Miller is not specific.
He does say the island had some walkways among trees. “Their imagineering team was excited about embracing that and building some stuff into it and tying it into the rest of the park, where you could explore and have this real-world experience,” he told AV Club.
But, like many projects Disney considers, it never came true.
