VIDEO, PHOTOS: Muppets’ Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem play Outside Lands Festival
Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem played a 22-minute set at the the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco this past weekend.
“We are The Electric Mayhem,” shouts Sgt. Floyd Pepper. “And this here, is the first stop on our world tour.”
“Correction there my friend,” Dr. Teeth interjects. “The only stop.”
This is the first time the band has played a festival in the over 40 years the band has been together.
The band’s set included their famous “Can You Picture That?” plus covers of “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, “Ophelia” by The Band, “San Francisco” by The Mowgli’s and finally the Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends,” with help from a chorus.
In between there are some video gags. The band consisting of every one’s favorite drummer – Animal, Sgt. Floyd Pepper on the bass, Janice on the lead guitar, Zoot on the saxophone, Lips on the trumpet, and of course, the leader of the band, Dr. Teeth on keyboard looked to give a fun performance.
Hey, I want that World Tour.
