ABC TV series ‘blackish’ to film an episode at Disney World
“black-ish,” ABC’s hit TV series, will film an episode at Disney World later this month titled “VIP.”
The episode will feature the Johnson family visiting all four parks with a VIP tour guide hired by the family, according to an ABC press release.
Talk about synergy – talk about a an extended commercial. This is not the first time ABC shows have filmed at a Disney Park. In 2012, “Modern Family” filmed at Disneyland.
Now, we know Andre “Dre” Johnson (portrayed by Anthony Anderson) is known for the expensive sneaker habit. And, we also know he is willing to spend a lot of money to give his family the best. Which is good, since the actual cost of a VIP tour at Disney World runs anywhere from $400 to $600 an hour with at a least a four to six hour minimum, plus tickets to get into the parks.
“I’m excited to return to Walt Disney World, this time to film with my TV family of ‘black-ish’ in hopes of creating some of the same lasting memories I shared with my very own family when we visited the resort,” two-time Emmy nominee Anderson, executive producer and star of “black-ish” said in a press release.
Also starting in “black-ish” is Tracee Ellis Ross as Rainbow Johnson, Laurence Fishburne as Pops, Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson, Marcus Scribner as Andre Johnson, Jr., Miles Brown as Jack Johnson, Marsai Martin as Diane Johnson, Jenifer Lewis as Ruby and Peter Mackenzie as Mr. Stevens.
