Disney launches pin trading-themed scavenger hunt at Magic Kingdom

Pin traders visiting the Magic Kingdom this summer can try their hand at a new PinQuest scavenger hunt launched just this week.

Here’s how it works:
Step One: Buy an Adventure Kit, which includes a lanyard and decoder medal. The kits are available at six gift shops: Fantasy Faire and Big Top Souvenirs in Fantasyland; Briar Patch and Frontier Trading Post in Frontierland; Curtain Call Collectibles on Main Street U.S.A.; and Tomorrowland Light & Power Co in Tomorrowland.
Step Two: Collect all six PinQuest clue cards and solve the question each card poses. Once you’ve answered the question, you can redeem the ticket at the bottom of the clue card for a PinQuest pin.
Step Three: Continue the hunt by using the decoder medal to determine your next stop.
Step Four: Once you’ve solved all six clues, return to either the Frontier Trading Post in Frontierland or Curtain Call Collectibles on Main Street U.S.A. to buy your QuestEAR completer pin.

You don’t need to complete the quest all in one day; you can take your time during your visit.
The total cost is about $80, including $14.99 for the Adventure Kit, $9.99 for each of six clue cards, and $4.99 for the “QuestEAR” completer pin. For that price, you take home a lanyard and lanyard medal, as well as seven pins — one for each clue solved, plus the completer pin.
The scavenger hunt is expected to last through the summer, but will only be available while supplies last. If it proves popular, it may be extended.
