Changes coming to the Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Hollywood Studios
Some changes are coming to the dessert party that accompanies the nightly Star Wars-themed fireworks display at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Beginning July 10, the Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party will be held inside the Star Wars Launch Bay, and guests will be escorted to a VIP viewing area outside 15 minutes prior to the fireworks. (We’re hoping you can sidle up to the Cantina Bar set inside the Launch Bay to get a drink. If you attend, let us know!) Also beginning July 10, check-in will be in the Animation Courtyard in front of the Star Wars Launch Bay.
With the addition of projections and light effects to the fireworks last month, it has become more important to view the show from right in front of the Chinese Theater — and a huge part of that area is now given over to the dessert party. Moving it inside will allow more people to get a front-row view of the show, presumably including the dessert party-goers.
Reservations are now available for the party through the end of July. The price is $69 or $39 for kids ages 3-9; tax and gratuity are included. In addition to desserts and beverages, guests go home with a souvenir Chewbacca stein.
