Swan and Dolphin to hold special ‘Sandastic’ weekends at Disney World

Over 100 tons of sand is being brought to the resort to create sand sculpture art, according to a release from the resort.

The event will take place Aug. 26-28 and Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 2-4, 2016.

Here are some of the highlights taking place:

• Sand sculpture artists make elaborate and intricate sculptures.
• Photo ops can be taken near the masterpiece sculptures.
• with the sculptures and ask questions…everything you ever wanted to know about sand sculpting.
• Professional sculptors take guest suggestions of what to create in sand in only 10 minutes. 
• Professional sand sculpting clinics.
• Go to the campfire and roast marshmallows.
• A night-time dance party on the sand.
• A classic film will be shown under the stars.
