World of Color dessert package added at California Adventure

Disney’s California Adventure

Dessert parties have become a fixture at Disney World, but have not been embraced in the same way at Disneyland — until now.

Starting March 17, guests will be able to watch the World of Color show at California Adventure from a table at Paradise Park. Desserts — plated on china — include a dulce de leche-filled cookie, Mickey coconut macaroon, and a selection of fruit and cheese, among others. A glass of sparkling wine or cider rounds out the occasion. The best part of the whole deal? Reserved seating at high-top tables.

Disneyland Park used to have a dessert package for Fantastic, and it was terrific — complete with seating and a generous, but not absurd, collection of desserts. The seating made it an absolute delight, but the dessert package has since been replaced by more expensive dining packages, which do not comes with actual seats.

The World of Color package is pricey at $79 per person, including tax and gratuity. That compares to $49 for the Wishes dessert party at the Magic Kingdom, which includes an all-you-care-to-eat buffet of desserts rather than a plated selection.

Reservations for the World of Color package are now open for dates starting March 17. Visit Disneyland.com/dine or call 714-781-DINE.
