First look at new Cars Land ride at California Adventure, opening soon

Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, the new Cars Land attraction at Disney’s California Adventure, is set to open March 7.
The ride replaces Luigi’s Flying Tires, which was a bit like a giant air hockey table. Guests rode in giant tires that floated across thousands of air vents — unless they didn’t. The ill-fated ride lasted less than three years after Cars Land opened in 2012.
The new attraction looks like a tame ride in which visitors sit two-by-two in vintage cars that spin around the parking lot.
“Each dancing car will have its own high-spirited personality and signature dance moves – making every ride unpredictable, as you won’t know which way they will turn and spin next,” the Disney Parks Blog reports.
