Designer Olympia Le-Tan launches line of Star Wars purses

Designer Olympia Le-Tan has released a dozen Star Wars-themed clutches based on vintage Star Wars comic book covers.

The meticulously detailed bags are available now to pre-order for €2,100, or about $2,900 at the moment. Delivery is expected in May.

Le-Tan, who is the daughter of French illustrator Pierre Le-Tan, has been designing her “You can’t judge a book by its cover” collection since 2009, when she began making the book-shaped clutches based on first-edition covers of classics including “Lolita” and “The Catcher in the Rye.”

This is not Le-Tan’s first partnership with Disney. She has previously designed an Alice in Wonderland collection and a series based on classic Disney stories. You can see many of them here, and they are works of art.
