Santa returns to Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel this holiday season
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be returning to the Swan and Dolphin this December at the Disney World resort.
The Epcot resort area will have special holiday season room rates at $159 a night.
Here are some of the festivities planned during the month:
Santa and Mrs. Claus meet ‘n greets
Santa, Mrs. Claus and Kandy Kane the elf meet guests in Santa’s customized Tiki Hut on select nights. Featuring reindeer, palm trees and flamingos.
Life-Size chocolate Holiday Santa scene
Created by the hotel’s executive pastry chef Laurent Branlard, this 2,000-pound, 100 percent edible chocolate scene is showcased in the lobby of the Swan and features Santa sitting in his chair, a 7-foot tall, 400-pound nutcracker, fireplace, Christmas tree and toy train.
A Florida snow fall and tree lighting ceremony
The lobby features a 45-ft tall Christmas tree surrounded by a holiday train set and regularly timed snow fall.
Bedtime Elf tuck-ins
On Dec. 24, a fully costumed elf will deliver milk, cookies, a plush toy and storybook to the room, read a bedtime story and tuck children into bed before Santa arrives. This premium service costs $59 for one child and $25 for each additional child. A service charge of 20 percent is added. Reservations are required and space is limited.
