Take the sting out of shorter days with a working Cogsworth clock
It’s bad enough that the days are getting so much shorter, but soon it will be time to turn your clocks back an hour. So I propose starting a new tradition: The fall-back gift, a little something to take the sting off the end of daylight savings time.
My pick for this year’s gift: An enchanting working model of Cogsworth from “Beauty and the Beast” ($74.95). Its smiling face could ease the pain when you’re feeling like it’s 8 p.m. and realize it’s only 5:15.
The clock measures 10 inches tall and 6 inches wide and has a hinged front cabinet with glass window covering a swinging pendulum. It runs on a single AA battery.
