Pixar announces release dates through 2016
Pixar has announced release dates for its next six movies, including a one-year delay for “Toy Story 4.”
The next installment in the Toy Story franchise, which has been described as a “romantic comedy,” will hit theaters in summer of 2018, instead of 2017. The move makes room for a “Cars” sequel, which has been long-awaited by almost no one.
The late includes just two original movies, including “The Good Dinosaur,” which opens this Thanksgiving, and the previously confirmed “Coco.” The other four films are sequels.
Mark your calendars:
- Nov. 25, 2015: The Good Dinosaur
- June 17, 2016: Finding Dory
- June 16, 2017: Cars 3
- Nov. 27, 2017: Coco, which Disney has described as “the story of a spirited 12-year-old boy named Miguel, who somehow finds himself in the fantastical realm of dead.”
- June 15, 2018: Toy Story 4
- June 21, 2019: The Incredibles 2, a sequel the comes 15 years after the original movie hit theaters
