Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar to open Sept. 22 in Disney World

Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar is scheduled to open Sept. 22 at Downtown Disney at Disney World, Disney announced on Twitter earlier this week.

The Disney-owned and operated bar  focuses on  Jock Lindsey — in case you don’t recall; and, really, who would? — he was Indiana Jones’ pilot in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

The hangar has been under construction for some time, between Paradiso 37 and the Boathouse Restaurant in the old Pleasure Island area, not far from Ragland Road.

The bar will have both indoor and outdoor seating and will serve specialty cocktails and small plates — like “Air Pilots Everything Pretzels” and “Rolling Boulder Meatballs” (another homage to Indy).
