Disneyland ride closings and refurbishments for December 2015 and beyond

The holiday season is in full swing at Disneyland. Most of the major closings are taking place in January for construction start of Star Wars Land.

Here is a look at closings coming up in December and the first part of 2016.

These closings are subject to change, so please, check the Disneyland website before going. (Updated Nov. 26, 2015)

Oct. 1 – Dec. 14: t’s Tough To Be a Bug is closed for refurbishment at California Adventure.

Dec. 1.- Jan 1, 2016: Character Closeup at California Adventure is closing for refurbishment.

Jan. 11, 2016: Big Thunder Ranch closes permanently.

Jan. 11, 2016 – TBD: Disneyland Railroad closed.

Jan. 11, 2016 – TBD: Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes is closed.

Jan. 11, 2016 – TBD: Fantasmic! is closed.

Jan. 11, 2016 – TBD: Mark Twain Riverboat is closed.

Jan. 11, 2016 – TBD: Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island is closed.

Jan. 11, 2016 – TBD: Sailing Ship Columbia is closed.
