14 new rides, attractions and experiences announced for Disneyland and Disney World at D23EXPO 2015
Disney announced three new lands and 15 rides, attractions and experiences coming to Disney Parks, during the D23 EXPO 2015, including Star Wars Land, Toy Story Land, a new Soarin’ and rides for Pandora – The World of AVATAR.

“From Disneyland’s 60th anniversary celebration to the anticipation of Shanghai Disney Resort, we’re in the midst of unprecedented growth and expansion around the globe,” Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek told the crowd.
Here are other specifics of the 12 other experiences:
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue: The ride at Hollywood Studios and Disneyland will add a new adventure featuring characters and a planet from the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” film out in December. This is supposed to start at the end of 2015.
Star Wars Launch Bay: This area will contain special exhibits, including props, meet Star Wars characters, special merchandise and food offerings. The Launch Bay will be located in the Animation Courtyard a Hollywood Studios and in the reimagined Super Hero HQ in Disneyland. This should begin at the end of 2015.
Jedi Training Academy: New characters and a new villain from Star Wars Rebels will be added to the academy by the end of the year.
Season of the Force: This new seasonal event will begin in early 2016. In Tomorrowland at Disneyland guests will explore the Star Wars galaxy with special entertainment throughout the land, themed food locations and more. Guests also will be thrilled to climb aboard Hyperspace Mountain, a reimagining of Space Mountain where riders will join in on an X-wing starfighter battle. At Hollywood Studios, there will be a new fireworks set to the score of the Star Wars movies.
Family-friendly roller coaster: At the new Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios, you will ride on the back of Slinky Dog as the coaster takes guests on an adventure throughout the land.
Alien saucers attraction: Also in Toy Story Land, the spin with the little green aliens in a flying saucer while The Claw is overhead.
Toy Story Mania!: There will be a third track added to this popular ride in which you shoot 3D objects to score points on the midway.
Rivers of Light: This new experience at Animal Kingdom is expected to open in the Spring of 2016. Live music, floating lanterns and water screens will come to life on Discovery River.
Kilimanjaro Safaris at night: This popular Animal Kingdom attraction where you get to go out on a safari adds a nighttime adventure in Spring 2016 with two new species on display, African wild dogs and hyenas.
Pandora – The World of AVATAR: This new themed land at Animal Kingdom will include floating mountains, a bioluminescent forest and the winged creatures known as Banshees.
AVATAR Flight of Passage : The main ride in Pandora will have guests soaring on a Banshee over an alien world.
Soarin’ Around the World: Soarin’ in Epcot and California Adventure will have a new adventure in the Spring 2016 when the movie is changed to Soarin’ Around the World.
