5 major sporting events coming to ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney World in Fall 2015
There are five major events taking place this fall at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World, including baseball, basketball and soccer tournaments.
Disney Turn Back the Clock Weekend: The baseball tournament will give players and audiences a taste of old-time baseball at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. More than 30 teams from the U.S., Panama, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands will compete in the tournament Sept. 4 to 7, 2015.
20th annual Cross Country Classic: Colleges, high schools and middle school athletes from around the country compete in 5K and 8K courses from Oct. 9 to 10.
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend: The event features Mickey’s Jingle Jungle 5K and runDisney Kids Race. Runners are invited to the exclusive Finish Line Party at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon will take place Nov. 6-7, 2015.
2015 AdvoCare Invitational: Eight men’s college basketball teams, including Alabama, Southern California and Notre Dame, will compete Nov. 26, 27 and 29 at HP Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The event will feature 12 games over the three days.
Disney Junior Soccer Showcase: The event will take place from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29, 2015.
