Registration for 2016 Star Wars Half Marathon at Disneyland on June 16, 2015

Registration opens Tuesday, June 16, for the 2016 Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland.

This will be the second time this event will take place. It will be held Jan. 14-17, 2016 and in addition to the half marathon there will be a 10K, a 5K, kids races and more.

The 13.1 mile, half marathon course goes through parts of Disneyland, California Adventure and the streets around Anaheim. Disney and Star Wars characters cheer the runners along the course. The half marathon takes place Jan. 17, 2016.

The Star Wars 10K race on Jan. 16 takes runners into California Adventure, down Hollywood Boulevard, down Route 66, past Paradise Bay then to Disneyland, down Main Street U.S.A., before going around the Rivers of America, past Downtown Disney and on to the streets of downtown Anaheim.

The Star Wars 5K race on Jan. 15, takes runners through the California Adventure and Disneyland parks.
