NBA Experience is coming to Disney Springs at Disney World

The NBA is working with Disney to open “The NBA Experience at Walt Disney World Resort” at Disney Springs in Disney World.

All the two would say is that the new location will have hands-on activities that will put guests in the middle of NBA game action, with a restaurant and of course, a retail store, according to a press release.

“We’re thrilled to work with the NBA to take our guests inside the world of professional basketball with an extraordinary entertainment experience,” Robert A. Iger, chairman and chief executive officer, The Walt Disney Company, said in the release.

“Working with the world’s top creator and operator of themed entertainment attractions, we can’t wait to bring the magic of Disney and the excitement of the NBA to guests from around the world,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said.

Disney has not said where in the new Disney Springs this experience will be located. Downtown Disney at Disney World is undergoing a major transformation into the new Disney Springs. When completed in 2016, Disney Springs will have double the shopping, dining and entertainment experiences Downtown Disney had.
