‘Inside Out’ makes $91M in opening weekend and breaks at least 1 record
“Inside Out” had the highest opening box office weekend ever for an original story, meaning not a sequel and not being based on another work, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com
The Disney-Pixar movie made about $91 million, making it Pixar’s second largest opening weekend behind “Toy Story 3”, with made $100.3 million.
“Inside Out” also made $41 million in international theaters for a total worldwide take of $132 million.
Still leading the box office this past weekend was “Jurassic World,” which took in $102 million domestically.
Before “Inside Out” took the top place for an original story, “Avatar” was on top with a $77 million box office take.
