Scenes from the Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade at Hollywood Studios
One of the highlights of Star Wars Weekends is the “Legends of the Force: Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade,” a short but spectacular parade of characters down Hollywood Boulevard.
Among the classic Star Wars characters — and Disney characters in their Star Wars garb — are more than 150 volunteers from the Florida Garrison of the 151st Legion, an all-volunteer “Imperial Costuming organization.”
Here are a few of our favorites from this year’s motorcade (Photos by Mary and Steven Liebman):
Mickey Mouse heads the Disney favorites cosplaying as Star Wars characters.
Chip and Dale stand in for Ewoks
Minnie makes a fetching Princess Leia.
Isn’t Donald Duck a little short to be a Stormtrooper?
Goofy goes over to the Dark Side … but only on the weekends.
The 151st Legion — “Vader’s Fist” — appears in self-made costumes.
151st members as the Emperor’s Royal Guard, protecting …
Their Emperor Palpatine.
Take some extra trinkets with you to Star Wars Weekends and you may be able to trade with Jawas.

At 200 years old, Chewbacca has been around almost since the beginning of the saga.
Ahsoka Tano from “Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels” greets R2-D2.
As host James Arnold Taylor said, “Nice to see you again, Ahsoka.”

Also from “Rebels,” Chopper the droid.
