Indiana Jones-themed bar coming to Downtown Disney

The latest venue announced for Downtown Disney is Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar, a Disney-owned and operated bar scheduled to open this fall. Jock Lindsey — in case you don’t recall; and, really, who would? — was Indiana Jones’ pilot in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

The bar will have both indoor and outdoor seating and will serve specialty cocktails and small plates — like “Air Pilots Everything Pretzels” and “Rolling Boulder Meatballs” (another homage to Indy).

The hangar has been under construction for some time, between Paradiso 37 and the Boathouse Restaurant in the old Pleasure Island area, not far from Ragland Road.

If nothing else, it’s nice to know that Indiana Jones is alive and well in the hearts of Disney’s Imagineers.
