Disney execs mum on Star Wars themed area expansion at Disney parks

Disney executives had nothing specific to announce on further plans to incorporate Star Wars into the theme parks other to say there is “development” taking place.

During the Second Quarter earnings call on Tuesday Jay Rasulo, Senior Executive VP and CFO of the The Walt Disney Company said the incorporation of Star Wars into the parks is a factor in further development of the parks.

“We’ve had single attractions, Star Tours, in multiple parks around the world that have remained successful. And some Jedi Training Academy-related shows here and there. But the opportunity here in the United States and other places around the world is tremendous and we’re doing some developmental work on it,” Bob Iger, Disney CEO said.
