PHOTOS: A tour of the Disney’s Grand Floridian Easter Eggs

For the past 19 years, the Grand Floridian bakery team, led by Pastry Chef Erich Herbitschek has been hand decorating eggs.

This year is no different. The lobby of the Grand Floridian at Disney World is filled numerous eggs.

The chef and his crew took three weeks to make the chocolate eggs, each weighing 9 to 12 pounds and standing 16 to 20 inches tall.

Each egg is made with edible products, including: modeling chocolate, fondant, sugar floral royal icing, colored cocoa butter, and sculpted sugar art pieces.

The decorations range from Elsa in “Frozen” to the rose in “Beauty and The Beast,” to characters from “Toy Story.”
