Disney announces Star Wars Weekends celebrity lineups
Frank Oz and Ian McDiarmid are headlining the list of celebrity guests for this year’s Star Wars Weekends, Disney announced Friday.
McDiarmid, who has appeared as Senator/Emperor Palpatine in five of the six Star Wars movies, will appear during opening weekend, May 15-17. And Oz, who besides portraying Yoda is a Muppet legend, will close out the event the weekend of June 12.
The autograph sessions have been moved indoors to a location just off Commissary Lane near Star Tours – The Adventure Continues. Most celebrity guests will be available for autographs, but not McDiarmid or Oz.
Each Star Wars Weekend will be hosted by James Arnold Taylor, who voiced Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. And Ashley Eckstein — the voice of Ahsoka Tano in the animated series and a Weekend IV celebrity guest — will host the daily “Padawan Mind Challenge – Family Edition.”
