If you’ve ever wanted to try going to Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom at Disney World on the same day, here’s your best chance yet: Both parks will be open for 24 hours straight May 22-23.
While the Magic Kingdom event kicks off Disney World’s “Coolest Summer Ever” in Florida, Disneyland will be launching its 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration.
Both Disneyland and California Adventure parks will be open for 24 hours straight, from 6 a.m. Friday, May 22, until 6 a.m. Saturday, May 23. Visitors will be among the first to see some of the special events marking Disneyland’s 60th birthday, including:
- “Paint the Night” Parade: The first all-LED parade in Disneyland history will showcase some of your favorite characters.
- “Disneyland Forever” Fireworks: Special effects will turn the storefronts of Main Street U.S.A, the Matterhorn and the facade of it’s a small world into projection screens that add to the fireworks display.
- “World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney”: Neil Patrick Harris and Mickey Mouse will host the all-new show, which explores Walt Disney’s legacy of both animated classics and the Disneyland park itself.
