Cinderella-inspired wedding gown coming to stores this spring
If you want to feel like Cinderella on your wedding day, why not look like her too?
Starting next month, real-life brides will be able to walk down the aisle in a dress inspired by the one Lily James wears in the new live-action “Cinderella,” which opens this week. (We hope we’re not spoiling anything by revealing that Ella winds up in a wedding dress.)
The gown designed by Sandy Powell (shown at right) was adorned with hand-painted flowers. On the Alfred Angelo version (shown below), the flowers are embroidered. The retail gown will come in three colors — light gold, white or ivory — and two styles — either with sheer organza sleeves or strapless.
The limited-edition dress will be available at Alfred Angelo stores next month. Prices start at $1,899.
No word on whether a powder-blue tux with gold epaulets and knee-high boots will be available to turn your groom into Prince Charming.
