2 months away until Marvel releases new Star Wars comic books

Star Wars #1 coming in January 2015

We are just two months away until the Marvel releases what will be the first of three Star Wars comic books.

These three are being viewed as be part of the Star Wars canon and picks up where Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope left off. According to starwars.com these stories will fill-in “previously unexplored gaps” in the history of the characters.

The first ongoing series Star Wars is being done by Jason Aaron and John Cassady. This will be released in January 2015.

The second ongoing series will be called Star Wars: Darth Vader and helmed by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca. This series will begin in February 2015.

The third will be a five-issue miniseries called Star Wars: Princess Leia, created by Mark Waid and Terry Dodson.
