Disney marathon and running events for 2015 and 2016 are announced
runDisney has announced the running events for 2015 and 2016 with the one event missing, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler.
Disney announced the nine events which from May 2015 to May 2016 and when registration opens for each of the races. All you marathoners and runners, put these dates on your calendar.
The lack of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror race most likely means that there will be a lot of work taking place at Hollywood Studios during the next years.
Here is a look at the the races and when registration opens:
May 1-2, 2015: Expedition Everest Weekend, Walt Disney World Resort. Registration opens Dec. 16.
May 7-10, 2015: Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend, Disneyland. Sold Out
Sept. 3-6, 2015: Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. Registration opens Feb. 10, 2015
Nov. 6-7, 2015: Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon . Registration opens March 17, 2015
Nov. 12-15, 2015: Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon. Registration opens April 7, 2015
Jan. 6-10, 2016: Walt Disney World Marathon. Registration opens April 28, 2015
Jan. 14-17, 2016: Star Wars Half Marathon. Registration opens June 16, 2015
Feb. 18-21, 2016: Disney Princess Half Marathon. Registration opens July 14, 2015
May 5-8, 2016: Tinker Bell Half Marathon. Registration opens Aug.
