Float unveiled for the new Shanghai Disney Resort
The Shanghai Disney Resort will unveil its float at the 2014 Shanghai Tourism Festival parade, a year before the park is supposed to open.

The centerpiece of the float is a Disney castle surrounded by jewel tones and a flowing, red Chinese paper-cut ‘ribbon’ embedded with hidden Mickey patterns.
“The float is the product of design work by an international team of Disney experts including Chinese designers. Together with our live performance, we are excited to demonstrate our commitment to bring the Disney experience to the people of China, even before we officially open Shanghai Disney Resort,” Laurie Jordan, vice president, Shanghai Disney Resort Entertainment, said in a press release.
Shanghai Disney will be there first Disney resort on mainland China. The resort will open with the Disneyland theme park, two hotels and a shopping/retail area.
