
Amazon Web Services outage impacting parts of My Disney Experience, Disney+
A major outage of Amazon Web Services on Tuesday has impacted major popular sites including Disney+ and some parts of the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World.
A notice on the My Disney Experience app states:
“Some of our digital experiences may be unavailable at this time. We’re actively working to resolve this issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
Some of what is has been reported as being impacted includes Mobile Ordering and usage of the Magic Bands.
Amazon Web Services provides cloud computing services to many companies, universities and governments.
Some people have also been reporting issues with using Disney+.
According to Amazon, “We are seeing impact to multiple AWS APIs in the US-EAST-1 Region. This issue is also affecting some of our monitoring and incident response tooling, which is delaying our ability to provide updates. We have identified root cause of the issue causing service API and console issues in the US-EAST-1 Region, and are starting to see some signs of recovery. We do not have an ETA for full recovery at this time.”
