Disney TV animation planning Haunted Mansion show

While everyone stills awaits the possibility of Guillermo del Toro brining to the big screen “Haunted Mansion,” Disney Television Animation is moving forward with a special based on the them park attraction for the Disney Channel and Disney XD.

Gris Grimly, the horror genre artist and children’s book illustrator (“Gris Grimly’s Wicked Nursery Rhymes”) is the executive producer of the project, said Eric Coleman, senior vice president of original series, Disney Television Animation.

No further plot details were announced.

Also working on the project are are two “Phineas and Ferb” alums, Scott Peterson, who will executive produce, story edit and write, and Joshua Pruett as consulting producer and writer.
