Star Wars inspired goalie masks now available

Goalie masks a have long been a canvas for many artists. Just take a look at the NHL and you can see some beautiful art work protecting the players in front of the net.

Now, The Force comes to the goalie.

After two years in the making Bauer Hockey has introduced five Star-Wars themed goalie masks, according to starwars.com.

Here are the five masks:

Luke Skywalker: The mask features X-wing pilot Luke Skywalker equipped for battle on the ice planet of Hoth, the location of the Rebel Alliance base.

Shock Troopers: The mask features designs of the Galactic Empire’s ground force, the shock troopers, and brings to life the fiery volcanic world of Mustafar, the location of the legendary battle between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Yoda: The mask features Yoda poised to duel with his lightsaber.

Boba Fett: The famed bounty hunter is featured with his Mandalorian armor firing his blaster rifle.

Darth Vader: Darth Vader is featured on the mask in his black armor and in battle with his lightsaber.
