BYU’s a capella group performs a tribute to Disney’s ‘Newsies’

If you haven’t had a chance to head to Broadway to see Disney’s “Newsies The Musical,” here’s a four-minute a cappella version by Brigham Young University’s Vocal Point and 85 student performers and crew members.

The musical is based on the 1992 film Newsies which was inspired by the New York City Newsboys Strike of 1899. The show won the Tony for Best Original Score and Best Choreography.

The music is by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman and the book by Harvey Fierstein.
