Idris Elba will voice Shere Khan in ‘The Jungle Book,’ report states

Idris Elba, the star of the “Luther” series and portrayed Heimdall in the Thor movies, will provide the voice of Shere Khan in Disney’s upcoming live action “The Jungle Book,” according to reports.

The movie, scheduled to be released Oct. 9, 2015, is a combination of live action and special effects, according to deadline.com.

Disney and Warner Bros are both planning film version’s of Rudyard Kipling’s book.
