Disney’s ‘Frozen’ jumps to 9 on Top 10 highest grossing Disney film list

“Frozen” is continuing to climb the Disney ladder to become the highest grossing animated movie of all time.

This past week it jumped over “Finding Nemo” with a worldwide gross of $955.7 million.

The Walt Disney Animation Studios Pictures movie is on track to hit $1 billion worldwide. It is the 5th highest grossing overseas animated release of all-time, according to Boxoffice.

In the global box office arena, the movie is 23rd among the all-time earners.

It’s final premiere is in Japan on March 15.

2. “Iron Man 3” – $1.215 billion
3. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” – $1.066 billion

6. “Alice in Wonderland” (2010) – $1.025 billion
7. “The Lion King” – $987 million
