Disney Smile of The Day: Mickey Mouse holding Walt Disney’s hand

Everyone loves to take photographs of The Partners statue at the Magic Kingdom, usually from a distance or in front of the statue. But it’s always worth getting close and looking at some of the details.

The statue was created by former Disney animator and Imagineer Blaine Gibson. He consulted footage from “Fantasia,” where Mickey shakes the hand of conductor Leopold Stokowski, when designing Mickey Mouse holding Walt Disney’s hand.
