Special glowing Mickey ears to debut at Disney World shows

This Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, will mark the debut of the glowing Mickey Mouse ear hats during performances at Disney World.

A special “glow in the show” edition of “Fantasmic!” debuts at Hollywood Studios in Disney World, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

This will mark the first time the chip-implanted hats that flash to electronic commands at Disney World. “Fantasmic!” will only be the first show to feature the technology. On Oct. 19, the ears will be added to the Magic Kingdom’s “Celebrate the Magic” castle-projection show an they will be featured with the holiday version of the “Wishes” fireworks.

In addition, they will also be part of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios during Christmas time.
