But this year, on the 13th anniversary, Disney is planning on a lot of new surprises, according to Brian Sandahl, Senior Designer, Show Development and Productions.
For those not familiar with this transformation, each Halloween into Christmas, the regular ghosts who occupy the Haunted Mansion are evicted and in their place are characters from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
The first change begins in the Stretching Portrait Gallery “where a new animation effect will stretch imaginations to the screaming point.”
That is the only small preview Sandahl gives.
The new mansion debuts on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.
