Disney Destiny to Make Halloween Debut as Part of 2026 High Seas Celebration

The Disney Destiny is set to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet this fall, marking the ship’s official debut season as a host for the Halloween on the High Seas celebration.

The Destiny—a vessel designed to honor the eternal struggle between Disney’s heroes and villains—provides a perfect backdrop for the line’s most atmospheric season. From early September through October, the ship will transform into a floating fall festival, leading a fleet-wide takeover that brings the “spirit” of the season to every corner of the Seven Seas.

The heart of the celebration beats in the ship’s Grand Hall, where the legendary Pumpkin Tree takes root. Far from mere decoration, these enchanted centerpieces are said to possess their own personalities and spirits, changing throughout the voyage.

As the Disney Destiny prepares for its debut, it joins a fleet of ships each anchored by their own unique guardian of the season:

  • Ginger watches over the Disney Treasure
  • Boo brings whimsy to the Disney Wish
  • Grim looms in the atrium of the Disney Dream
  • Muckelbones haunts the Disney Fantasy
  • Reap and Bog stand sentry on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder

The 2026 season invites guests to step into the story themselves. During Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, the upper decks become a costume-clad celebration. Mickey, Minnie, and their inner circle debut exclusive Halloween attire, inviting families to dance alongside them.

The air remains thick with magic elsewhere on the ship. On the Disney Wish, guests can witness a rare transformation as Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow take the stage as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. Throughout the fleet, the tradition of Trick-or-Treating at Sea continues, with festive trails winding through the ship, offering sweet rewards for those brave enough to explore.

The transformation extends to the palate, where Disney’s culinary teams have “conjured” a menu of seasonal delicacies. Guests will find limited-time specialty food and beverages, ranging from intricately designed fall desserts to “bewitching” handcrafted sips in the lounges, each inspired by the colors and textures of the harvest season.
