Disney World ride , attraction refurbishments and closings for Winter 2017-2018

When planning a trip to Disney World you always want to know what rides and attractions will be open and closed.

Winter will see a very small number of attractions closing. Here are a look at what you can expect in December 2017 and the first few months of 2018.

Here is a look at closings. (Updated Nov. 29, 2017)

These change constantly so make sure you check the Disney World site before you head out on your trip.

Jan. 17 – TBD: Hall of Presidents at the Magic Kingdom  is closed for refurbishment and change to add newly-elected president to the attraction. There has been some talk that this will open by the end of the year, but nothing officials has ben announced.

Oct. 30, 2017 – Jan. 7, 2018: Blizzard Beach water park will be closed for refurbishment

Jan. 2, 2018 – Feb. 20, 2018: Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom will be closed for refurbishment.

Jan. 8, 2018 – Feb. 2, 2018: Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom is closed for refurbishment.

Jan. 7, 2018 – March 18, 2018: Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed for refurbishment.

Feb. 26, 2018 – March 19, 2018: Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom will be closed of refurbishment and most likely will be changing over the “We Wants the Red Head” auction scene.

Feb. 28, 2018 – March 3, 2018: Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom will be closed for refurbishment.
