Getting these two icons together was a lot tougher than one would suspect. Disney’s Touchstone Pictures produced the film, but Warner Bros. would only allow Bugs to appear if he received equal screen time with Mickey Mouse. As you watch the film, you’ll notice both characters appear in every frame together.

In addition, neither of the characters refer to each other by their full name. Bugs Bunny only refers to Mickey Mouse as “Doc.” And Mickey only calls him “Bugs.”

The movie which is a blend of live action and classic animation has been remastered for a special 25th anniversary Blu-ray Combo Pack and is now available with extra bonus features including three digitally restored Roger Rabbit Shorts, a mini-documentary, filmmaker audio commentary, deleted scenes and making-of featurettes.

The movie which received four Academy Awards for Best Film Editing, Best Sound Effects Editing, Best Visual Effects, and a Special Achievement Award in Animation Direction, is directed by Robert Zemeckis, stars Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Cassidy and Charles Fleischer as Roger Rabbit.
