The gang from Monsters, Inc. comes to your iPhone

The gang from Monsters, Inc., has been everywhere lately in the runup to this summer’s prequel “Monsters University.”

And now you can take them with you everywhere you go with a new mobile game, “Monsters, Inc. Run” (99 cents for iPhone and iPad). As the name implies, this is a classic running game, with Mike Wazowski collecting coins for upgrades as he and Sully race through Monstropolis to rescue Boo.

In a review, IGN notes that the game is slick and pretty but much too pushy when it comes to in-app purchases — especially because it’s a kids’ game. Another review from slide to Play is more positive.
