First look at Epcot Flower & Garden Festival special menu
Can’t decide between visiting Epcot during spring’s Flower & Garden Festival or the fall Food & Wine Festival?
Perhaps this will sway you: Dole Whip with Spiced Rum.
Yep, that’s part of the new menu for the Flower & Garden Festival at Disney World, according to the Orlando Sentinel, which detailed some of the food booths set to debut at the festival this spring.
We had already reported that “festival-themed food” would be part of this year’s garden event with a focus on backyard barbecue and “garden-inspired global tastes.” The Sentinel details some of the food booths that will be scattered around the World Showcase, a la the Food and Wine Festival, including:
- Smokehouse Barbecue and Brew at American Adventure
- Primavera Kitchen in the Italy pavilion
- Hanami at Japan
- Florida Fresh at the World Showcase Promenade
Among the menu items:
- Shrimp with grits
- Zellwood corn
- Angel food cake with macerated Florida berries
- Watermelon salad with pickled red onions, baby arugula, feta cheese and balsamic reduction
- Sweet “frushi” made with fresh fruits and coconut rice
