Disney isn’t exactly known for its warm-and-fuzzy stories of mother-daughter bonding. Usually they’re more sharp-and-prickly. But now comes “Brave,” the new animated movie from Disney/Pixar that actually features the relationship between a mother and her rebellious teenage daughter. This got us thinking about Disney and moms — specifically moms who have died in horrible fashion and moms replaced by wicked stepmoms.
